Yamaha has designed a race ready machine with full high performance features like the lightweight 449cc fuel-injected engine with a aluminum/steel chassis, assist-and-slipper clutch for less rider fatigue and titanium five-valve cylinder head technology.
There is no doubt that you could take the YFZ450R from showroom to track or trail and be successful. But if there is an opportunity to build off the factory model and give us an edge we intend to take advantage of it.

- Vortex ECU:
The stock ECU on the YFZ450R is crap. The Vortex ECU for the Yamaha YFZ450R controls not only spark timing and voltage output but also fuel metering and other engine management functions. The result is adding more and better power, eliminate the typical YFZ450R lag, and ultimately faster lap times with your Yamaha ATV. The ECU is also fully programmable with parameters that are far more extensive than those found in any factory setting tools; such as Rev Limits, Throttle Enrichment & Decay time, Fuel timing, High Resolution Mapping, Dwell Timing, Voltage Output and trim tables for cold starting. - Exhaust:
The RP Race Shorty Exhaust for the Yamaha YFZ450R is made with premium stainless steel. It is TIG welded and designed for a modified engine. Air Fuel tuning is highly recommended. The exhaust systems tubing step and size are carefully designed for maximum power.
- Air Intake:

- Racing A-Arms:
The YFZ450R boasts an excellent stock chassis but there is room for improvement. The Walsh RaceCraft MX Long Travel A-Arms for the Yamaha YFZ450R offers the least possible amount of bump steer possible on this ATV. Fully adjustable caster, camber and toe-in, allows you to fine tune your front end to your exact riding style. The included Walsh RaceCraft Caster Bracket, on a stock YFZ450R the front end caster increases upon compression and the caster decreases as the front end extends, with the upgraded Caster Bracket included in every Walsh Racing MX Long Travel A-Arms for the YFZ450R that issue is corrected by keeping your caster at the location you set it at upon installation and makes a noticeable difference in the handling of your YFZ450R. - Suspension / Shocks:
